DINA Trucks and MegaFlux are jointly developing an electric bus for urban service. It will have a 40-passenger capacity. The Ministry of Economic Development facilitated the collaboration between the two companies and provided support in the development of the business plan. Mexico City will be one of the first cities to incorporate electric buses in its urban service. According to the Mexico City government, they are working together with DINA to develop a first prototype vehicle for the Public Transport Network (RTP), as an initial step towards complete substitution. On the road to electromobility in the CDMX, the Centro de Desarrollo e Innovación Tecnológica Vallejo, known as Vallejo Innovación, started operations with the participation of engineers from UNAM, IPN and UAM focused on converting diesel engine vehicles to electric through innovative technology.
