During the 50´s, the company was founded as Diesel Nacional S.A in 1951, signing an agreement with FIAT SPA support and manufacture of trucks and buses.
From 1962 Dina start the assembly of foreign buses with flexible technology as well as the production of medium trucks with cab INTERNATIONAL and CUMMINS engines.
In 1987, technological alliance is signed with NAVISTAR. Two years later DINA is acquired by the Consortium "G" Group DINA, continuing with NAVISTAR technology.
In 1990, Dina introduces to Mexico the spectacular Paradiso bodyworks of Brazilian Marcopolo company with who signed a commercial Alliance.
DINA Group joining the New York Stock Exchange and Mexico and acquired 100% of MOTOR COACH INDUSTRIES market leader of foreign buses in the U.S.. During this decade, founded the Financial Leasing DINA and started exporting to South America under the brand DIMEX.
In 1995, DINA truck revolutionizes the manufacture of cabins in Mexico with the project HTQ, investing 70 million dollars in order to achieve technological independence. With advice from Design Works (BMW) and Roush Industries, was developed the new modular concept for the new trucks class 6, 7 and 8, meeting international regulations at low cost, with the following benefits:
• simplify production.
• Low tooling cost.
• Optimal performance and quality.
• Freedom of exported to any market in the world.
In 1997, opened the assembly plant in Buenos Aires Argentina while in Mexico, Dina launched an extraordinary line of Bus F11, F12 and F14 with its own technology.
In 1998, finished the strategic alliance with Navistar and launched the new line of vehicles HTQ exporting to 14 countries 48 million of dollars and signed a contract with Western Star .
That same year, is based in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexicana de Manufacturas Especiales, SA of C.V. with the aim of supplying the market for auto parts and bodyworks manufacturing, with five plants in an industrial complex of 48.480 m2.
Since 2001, Dina decided to prepare to face the challenges of globalization and remain competitive as an enterprise World Class Transportation, for which initiated the process of designing units with chassis and bodywork DINA 100%, based on the HTQ Technology and in national and international standards.
In 2008, launches its products through its distributors network.
Dina has developed an innovative proprietary technology for trucks and buses, so they have more opportunities than ever to regain its position in the urban bus market and in the medium term, venture back into foreign bus segments, and vocational trucks.
